i really wanted to get to posting, but I've run into a snag with recording equipment, ill see if i can get what I'm looking for next week. Keep the posts coming, with the concept this site has it should explode in the music community.

Some great runs Perfect, not your usual blues sound, I bet BB would be shocked to hear that! Love it though.

I think you're improving Emos, I felt like yours was a little more blues like, which I liked. :-)

i redid it, same tone, just thew the major along with the minor. turn out good considering im just now starting to play stuff like this

Nice playing man! I'd say you've got some good lines in there. I'd try digging into those strings a little, play with some dynamics and feel! That's the only thing really missing.

Make those strings snap!

i'm new to this site..hope i can learn from everyone and get better..i tried a little something on the track it's a bit rough my head hurts and i'm not feeling so creative tonight. the solo is after the comping

Hilroy, nice playing! I am glad you put some comping in there, that's something that is overlooked all too often, also loved all the dom 7th chords stuck in between the turnaround chords (V-IV).

With the blues, play less, feel more. Some of your later licks are great. Especially try to hit the downbeat, that's where people expect something to go. That's not to say I don't like the licks starting on the "and"s of one, two and three, but it's about meeting expectations and surpassing them.

Try not to noodle on the guitar, try to say something (I'm guilty of noodling, we all are!). Try to sing what you want to play. Stuff like that.

Lot's of stream of consciousness there, sorry about that. Just some thoughts.

Very cool, what are your thoughts on the delta44 pc audio interface? I hear that its a pretty intense interface.

this was fun =] i was just switch scales thoughout from E minor pent to B minor pent and F# minor pent, pretty much the perfect intervals of B (perfect 4th and perfect 5th(power chord notes))

Emos, I can hear you getting better and better as time goes by. Net time, maybe try some pauses and let the music breathe a little bit. Note selection includes the absence of a note as well! ;-)

will do , i use ableton live but just had a go with Reaper a lot easier

Thank you to both of you! I've been playing for about 7 years. I mostly just really enjoy playing the blues but I like quite a few genres, but blues is where home is for me!

Like your site, I rarely play guitar because I have a condition known as Raynauds and I'm in college and can't afford to pay for heating. Here is my pentatonic playing from the man with the blue hands!

Thanks for putting this stuff up, very cool idea. I figured since I'm an old blues dawg I would pitch my 2 cents in. Many clams in this track but some cool licks. Hard to play that long without makin a mistake heh. Oh yea stock American strat/POD. Live I play thru a BadCat Extreme Tone II and a Hughs-Kettner Replex into and old Mesa 50 Cal+. Tubes ftw... Three things I've learned from playing guitar for 45 years. Practice everyday, the hard stuff. Learn to play with what I call "Controlled Abandon". Gear is the least important factor. To quote an old native friend of mine "It aint the quality of the arrow you need to worry about, it's the quality of the indian". peas out :) Oh yea one more thing. Puncuate your chops. With Conviction. /poof
